TAURANGA FARMERS MARKET

Rain, hail or shine, you can be assured that the team down at the Tauranga Farmers Market will be there to greet you on Saturday's from 7.45am onwards with wide smiles, brightly assorted lillies, in season produce, fresh bread, warmed baked goods, live music, and much, much more.

NZ farmers markets

Held at Tauranga Primary School, this market is also the proud winner of the market manager of the year in this years Taste Farmers Market Awards NZ and also runner up for the Favourite Farmers Market in New Zealand as voted by the customers - and it's not hard to see why.

One of my favourites at the moment is Heavenly Pies
These guys have mouth watering, generous size artisan pies that are a must have this winter
Not only are they a great price, but the team experiment with new flavours regularly, and they are quickly spreading out further to more markets around the island.
With their tremendous popularity I really suggest you head straight to them first so you don't miss out.
I'm predicting big things for these guys, so keep your ears open.

Another absolute must at the Tauranga Markets is Blackadamia. Using macadamia's, the crew here create little pieces of heaven that will have you melting in puddles outside.
At every visit without fail I grab several bags of their fudge to share with the family. For $4, you get a healthy portion - only enough to last me to the following Saturday!
But be warned - The fudge's side effects include "obsessive buying", "compulsive drooling", and "non-stop babble" about how goood it is.
